The realization of national ideals and visions requires having possibilities and capabilities that are compatible with future changes. The ability to benefit from the opportunities of artificial intelligence and manage its risks is one of the requirements for realizing the desirable future of the university in Iran. Since the future is the product of actors' actions, the purpose of this article is to explain the strategic role of actors and stakeholders in the university field in benefiting from artificial intelligence. The main question is what is the role of actors and stakeholders in realizing the desirable future of the university in Iran in the shadow of the advancement of artificial intelligence? The methods used in this article are: expert panel in order to determine and validate the role of actors and stakeholders; Structural-interpretive analysis method using Mactor software in order to identify and analyze the role of actors.
The main findings of this research are: Realization of the desirable future of the university in Iran in the shadow of the advancement of artificial intelligence requires the achievement of digital maturity. Taking a step towards the realization of digital maturity requires imaging of the future and determining its big picture, and this issue depends on the role of stakeholders and main and influential actors.
