This relationship has particularly suffered many challenges and stagnations since 2003. This situation is amid the special position, identity, and importance of both of these actors in the future structure of the world order. Analyzing the existing trends in the relationship between these two actors is particularly crucial for the Islamic Republic of Iran’s foreign policy. The future relations between Iran and European Union will have numerous consequences for the both sides’ strategic interests and objectives, especially when analyzed through the future studying of Iran’s interactions with the global powers. This paper seeks to genealogically and pathologically study the position of these two actors in the future world, regarding the role of Iran’s nuclear program in European Union in a period of more than 10 years. Then, the research, reviewing the theoretical literature on international relations, goes on to study the influential variables in the actors’ current and future affairs. The study also discusses the driving forces in the future relations of Iran and European Union. The anticipated scenarios of the relations between the two actors according to their respective needs and objectives in foreign policy are also analyzed. The paper, finally, presents strategies for policy-making in this important era of Iran’s foreign policy. روابط ‌ایران و اتحادیه‌اروپا متأثر از موضوع هسته‌ای ‌ایران در هزاره سوم میلادی و به‌خصوص از سال ٢٠٠٣به‌بعد دچار گسست‌ها، چالش‌ها و رکود زیادی بوده است.‌این در حالی است که در چشم‌انداز پیش رو هر دوی ‌این بازیگران دارای جایگاه، هویت و اهمیت ویژه‌ای در ساختار نظام بین‌المللی می‌باشند. تجزیه و تحلیل روندهای موجود در روابط ‌این دو کنشگر برای سیاست‌خارجی جمهوری اسلامی‌‌ایران اهمیت ویژه‌ای دارد. به‌خصوص اگر از منظر آینده‌پژوهی تعاملات ‌ایران با قطب‌های جهانی موضوع را مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار دهیم، روابط آینده ‌ایران با اتحادیه‌اروپا برای منافع و اهداف راهبردی دو طرف در عرصه بین‌المللی دارای پیامدهای زیادی خواهد بود. در مقاله حاضر سعی شده است در مرحله نخست، جایگاه روابط ‌این دو بازیگر در جهان فرارو با توجه ویژه به جایگاه موضوع هسته‌ای‌ ایران در سیاست‌های اتحادیه‌اروپا در طول یک دوره زمانی بیش از ده‌سال مورد بررسی تبارشناسانه و آسیب‌شناسانه قرار گیرد. سپس سعی شده است با بررسی ادبیات نظری روابط بین‌المللی، متغیرهای مؤثر در روابط فعلی و آتی دو طرف تحلیل شود. بررسی نیروهای پیشران در روابط آینده ‌ایران و اتحادیه‌اروپا و بررسی سناریوهای پیش روی روابط دو طرف مبتنی بر نیازها و اهداف سیاست‌خارجی هر دو بازیگر از دیگر موضوعات مورد بررسی در مقاله پیش‌رو به‌منظور ارائه راهبردهایی در‌ این حوزه موضوعی مهم سیاست‌خارجی‌ ایران است https://rahbord.csr.ir/article_124553_ee88c21fb9ac5e9bb72f7d0bc5dbffb1.pdf
