One of the important harms of the electoral system is related to political parties. Political parties have several functions, one of which is to gain political power. Therefore, creating a legal basis for the political participation of different individuals is the most important issue facing political activists, and in this context, the relationship between political parties and the electoral system is important; But in Iran, despite the fact that there is freedom of formation of political parties in the laws, we still see the inefficiency of political parties in the Iranian electoral system. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to identify the harms that are faced by the efficiency of political parties in the Iranian electoral system and also to provide effective solutions to eliminate these harms. Delphi method and Shannon technique were used to achieve this goal and researchers in two stages in the form of interviews and questionnaires, collected the views of 10 experts in the field of elections and then the data obtained from the consensus of experts with The Shannon technique was examined, and the findings showed that the most important damage that led to the inefficiency of political parties was in the category of "structural" injuries, followed by "legal" injuries; "economic" injuries; There are "functional" and "cultural". This research seeks to investigate and provide solutions to eliminate these injuries.
