Measuring the Relationship between Good Governance and Religious Democracy: Emphasizing the Indicators of Rule of Law, Participation and Accountability

Abstract

One of the new approaches to development is a good governance model that provides the basis for a democratic development. The main features of this model can be "government accountability to citizens", "rule of law", "democracy", "participation", and " right to choose", and so on. In this model, the supreme power belongs to the people. Different countries in the world are trying to improve their political structure by promoting these principles and the Islamic Republic of Iran is not an exception to this rule. The great harmony between the principles of good governance and religious values in Iran provides a framework for implementing this pattern in Iran. Therefore, in this article we are trying to Measuring the relationship between good governance and religious democracy. The main question of this research is that "what is the relationship between good governance and the strengthening of religious democracy in Iran?" The main hypothesis of this article is that "there is a direct relationship between good governance and the strengthening of religious democracy in Iran." This Article seeks to demonstrate that good governance as a model for developing countries is a suitable platform for strengthening religious democracy in Iran through a qualitative analysis method and using documentary library resources. It should be noted that in this article merely indicators of rule of law, accountability, and participation are examined.
